February 6, 2020 - February 7, 2020
Inspiring the Good in Diverse Relationships
The Office of Intercultural Engagement at Wheaton College presents “Inspiring the Good in Diverse Relationships,” a lecture by V. Elizabeth Perkins and Pastor Chris Cannon on Thursday, February 6 at 9:30 a.m. In light of their work as staff members of the John and Vera Mae Perkins Foundation, they will be discussing the importance of forging and cultivating diverse relationships. We invite you to attend this special event during the inaugural Rodney K. Sisco Symposium.
V. Elizabeth Perkins serves as the Co-President and Missions Coordinator of the John and Vera Mae Perkins Foundation (JVMPF). Her goal is simple yet profound: Helping the next generations encounter & follow Jesus to bless a broken world.
Chris Cannon serves at the lead for the West Coast Perkins Foundation office. A church planter and pastor for more than 25 years, Cannon was introduced to Dr. Perkins in 1991 and has been mentored by him since then. His passion is to connect churches to the Perkins Justice Pilgrimage so that the mission and vision of John and Vera Mae Perkins Foundation can spread to the West Coast.
This event is free and open to the public and will take place in Todd M. Beamer Center, Room 136 Coray Alumni Gym, located at 421 N. Chase St. in Wheaton. For more information, contact Tiffany Egler at 630.752.7551 or sisco.symposium@wheaton.edu.
