Calvin University started the John M. Perkins fellowship program in 2013. The program is designed to raise up leaders that are equipped to approach issues such as racism, especially with the principles of Christian Community Development. Starting in their freshman year, the Perkins fellows can live together on the Perkins floor. The fellows have an opportunity to reside in an intentional community called the “Perkins House” in their sophomore year.
